Location / Getting here

Gotha is situated in the green heart of Thuringia very close to the cities of Erfurt and Eisenach and between the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hainich national park and the magical Thuringian Forest.

This central location has a positive effect on the infrastructure too – Gotha can be reached quickly and easily thanks to its ideal transport links. The road, regional and long-distance transport links guarantee short, fast trips within Germany.

We are already looking forward to being able to welcome you to our beautiful city that was once a ducal seat soon and wish you a good journey.

We recommend the coach park (Marstall) in Parkallee for guests travelling by coach. You can find seven free coach parking spaces there. There are also three free caravan parking spaces at the coach park (Marstall). Please note that there are not any supply and waste disposal facilities there.
